Even though I am a terrible skier (and an even worse snowboarder), in these looks I fully embraced dressing for the winter. Instead of heading to the mountains, I decided to incorporate some of my favorite "apres ski" inspired pieces into my outfits. My wardrobe basics in these looks are a white turtleneck and my Prada moto boots. From there, it was all about adding fun accessories with fur hats, oversize scarves, statement sunglasses, and lots of leather.

In this look, I'm wearing a leather jumpsuit with a white ribbed turtleneck and my Prada boots. I added a fur headband that I thrifted at Savers and my Chanel chain belt. I am also wearing my gold metallic ankle bag on my arm for a sporty touch.

Jumpsuit: Tibi via TRR

Turtleneck: H&M

Boots: Prada Via eBay

Belt and Ankle bag: Chanel via TRR

Fur headband: Savers

In this outfit, I'm wearing my Ganni fringe leather jacket that I got awhile ago. I am wearing leather shorts that are also by Ganni. I'm very picky when it comes to tights- they have to have the right amount of "sheerness" so to speak. I have always had good luck with tights at Nordstrom Rack (and you can't beat the price!). I added my leopard fur hat, Ray ban sunglasses, and some statement earrings.

Leather jacket & shorts: Ganni via the Outnet and Saks

Tights: Nordstrom Rack

Hat: Vintage via eBay

Earrings: CHA NEL

Here I mixed all of my animal print for a fun look! I love the exaggerated scarf that is attached to the coat!

Coat: Alexander Wang leopard fur

Boots: old Tibi via the Outnet

Why not wear a sequin evening dress in the snow? Haha! This dress is actually very heavy and warm. I like the juxtaposition of the really formal dress with the knit beanie. I enjoy wearing "fancy" pieces as part of my everyday wardrobe. I've never been one to save things for a special occasion. I get my wear out of my clothes!

Dress: Ganni via Yoox

Beanie: thrifted

Sunglasses/chain: Chanel via Saks

I love the idea of layering a statement crystal corset over a chunky sweater. This corset will be just as cool over a tee shirt or printed dress in the spring. I added an oversize scarf to complete the look.

Sweater: thrifted via Crossroads

Jeans: Forever 21 from a million years ago

Crystal corset: JW Anderson via Vestiare

Scarf: J. crew thrifted via Crossroads

I'll be sharing OOTDs, fashion inspo, and the wardrobe pieces I'm currently loving! I have always enjoyed putting outfits together and really appreciate unique personal style. While I love designer pieces, I typically choose to invest in them via consignment and create a look with a high low mix. Outfits are much more interesting to me when it's a mash up of pieces that I've found thrifting or purchased secondhand. Style is always attainable- it's all about how you wear the items you like.

It's the beginning of a new year, and I was thinking that it would be the perfect time to make some style resolutions for 2022. I narrowed it down to three ideas that I plan to focus on:

  1. I will "shop my closet": I am going to focus more on wearing pieces that are already in my wardrobe and styling them in new ways. This will allow me to be creative in how I wear the things that I know I already love.

  2. I will buy less "fast fashion." While I love stores like Zara and h&m for affordable and trendy items, I want to focus on spending on quality pieces that I know will be in my closet for years. Don't get me wrong, I will still mix in some high street fashion in my looks but I will be more mindful of what I'm buying.

  3. I will wear what I like: This is the most important one! While trends always come and go, this year, I am going to wear things that make me feel excited and happy- not just because they may be in style or all over the season's runways.
